Frans Muhren was trained as a sculptor at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in the 1970s. After his training he started developing his own style, from abstract-organic to abstract-geometric. He works with various materials, such as iron, wood, polystyrene foam, plastic, acrylic and oil paint, sometimes with volume and mass, sometimes with lines that move or suggest movement.
